Guided Visual Journeys
What if a campus activity could give students more than something to do—and leave them with something meaningful to take with them?
Guided Visual Journeys combine gallery-quality prints of original artwork with guided audio to invite students to slow down, look deeper, and experience a shift in perspective.
Research in neuroaesthetics is helping us understand how engaging with art can influence our emotions, attention, and sense of well-being. Yet the average museum visitor may spend only 15–30 seconds looking at an individual artwork.
A Guided Visual Journey creates the opportunity to stay with an image longer—to notice what you see, what you feel, and what may shift within you.
There is no right answer or interpretation. The experience is personal.
Students may leave with:
- A new prespective
- Greater clarity
- A sense of being more centered
- A break from constant digital stimulation
- An unexpected insight
- A stronger connection with themselves
- Somthing meaningful to carry into their day, and beyond
Created from Art, Meditation & 30+ Years of Campus Experience
Guided Visual Journeys were created by Meredith Gansrow through the intersection of:
- A lifelong study and practice of art
- 7 years of meditation study and practice
- 30+ years creating stress-relief and student engagement experiences for colleges
Guided Visual Journeys bring these worlds together to create an experience students can discover for themselves.
